Britney Spears VMA 2007 Performance [10 Sep 2007|08:07am]

LOL! Oh, come on Britney! This could've been a great comeback! You still look great after the K-Fed divorce and two kids, and you BLEW it.

I shouldn't have expected anything.. really.. but then I heard Gimme More and I thought, "wooah, she could really go back to the hot slut we all love/hate!" Ugh, booooo.

Chris Brown was great though.. I was so happy when Rihanna entered later on!

Beau Brummel (1924) Clip 2 [03 Apr 2007|03:50pm]

For your watching/listening pleasure. It's SLIGHTLY off, but you can tell where the music is supposed to go. I think the performers did an excellent job, and I learned a lot from just this one-minute clip.

COMMENTS WOULD BE SUPER SPECIAL AWESOME!!!

Woooooooooooo! [08 Feb 2007|10:44pm]
Ahhh, yesterday was a lovely day indeed... musically.

For piano masterclass (at 10:30am), we took a trip to The Centre In The Square, which is where the Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony Orchestra performs. They had a brand new Steinway piano (signed by the last-living Steinway relative) and I was able to play it! Wow, playing that shiny piano in such a LARGE area... it was wonderful. The stage is huge; while I was walking to the piano at the center, I was just looking up, down and behind me at all that space. What a wonderful feeling. And such a wonderfully in-tune piano! Just lovely... it made my mistakes sound sweet, haha. I'm glad I had that opportunity.

And then, later in the evening, I finally got my composition performed at the New Music Concert. Now that was an experience.. having my piece played on stage in front of an audience. I was very impressed. It was difficult to get everybody together for rehearsals (there was seven performers in total, including a conductor) with two weeks to prepare, but they nailed it and I'm so happy. I can't wait to get a recording of it.. I'll post it up here when I do. :D chibimya, Mic and Michael were able to come check it out, which was cool because I wanted it to be heard by non-musicians as well.. it's not fun if I get feedback from my fellow music students, although I do appreciate it.

Yes, it was a musically wonderful day. Want to hear a sample of a piano piece I'm working on? Click HERE to download! It's eeeeevil. :D
